Denzong Sherpa Association (DSA) organised a short gathering today to extend best wishes to Miss Phur Deeki Sherpa, a distinguished kickboxer from Sikkim who is set to represent India in the upcoming WAKO World Championship, scheduled to take place from November 17th to November 27th, 2023 at Albufeira, Portugal.
The event was graced by the presence of key figures within the Denzong Sherpa Association, including Shri Dorjee Sherpa Pinasa (DSA President), Shri M. T. Sherpa, IAS (Advisor, DSA), Shri Namgyal P Sherpa (Vice President, Global Sherpa Association), Shri Dup Tshering Sherpa (Patron, DSA), Shri Gyaltshen Sherpa (Chief Coordinator, Literary Committee, DSA), Shri Tarbu Sherpa (Secretary for Literary Affairs), Shri Palden Sherpa (Joint Secretary), and other esteemed members.
The event commenced with a warm welcome and introduction of the distinguished guests.Shri Dorjee Sherpa Pinasa, DSA President, delivered an opening address expressing pride in Miss Phur Deeki Sherpa's accomplishments and highlighting the significance of community support.
Shri M. T. Sherpa, Advisor DSA, spoke about the importance of recognising and fostering talent within the community and wished her for her forthcoming tournament.
Shri Namgyal P Sherpa, Vice President of the Global Sherpa Association also addressed the gathering and offer his best wishes to her.
Individual wishes and messages of encouragement were shared by attendees, emphasising the community's solidarity in backing Miss Phur Deeki Sherpa.
