Denzong Sherpa Association (DSA) celebrated a historic moment today as it officially launched its website and introduced the Sherpa Language Literary E-Magazine in a special ceremony held in Gangtok today. Distinguished dignitaries, including Chief Guest Shri M. T. Sherpa, IAS Secretary, Government of Sikkim, and Guest of Honour Shri Thendup Sherpa, President of the Global Sherpa Association, graced the occasion.

The launch ceremony was a testament to the commitment of Denzong Sherpa Association to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of the Sherpa community. In attendance were notable figures such as DSA President Shri Dorjee Sherpa Pinasa, Retd. Secretary Shri P.N. Sherpa, Chief Engineer Shri Dukpa Sherpa, JD Shri Gyaltshen Sherpa, Executive Committee of GSA, President of Kurseong Sherpa Association Shri Dawa Sherpa, and the President of Jaigaon Sherpa Association Shri Passang Sherpa.

Shri M. T. Sherpa, the Chief Guest, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiatives of Denzong Sherpa Association, highlighting the significance of preserving the Sherpa language and culture. He praised the organization's efforts in establishing a digital platform to connect the Sherpa community and nurture literary pursuits.

Guest of Honour Shri Thendup Sherpa congratulated Denzong Sherpa Association, emphasizing the importance of cultural exchange and collaboration among Sherpa communities globally. He acknowledged the role of such platforms in fostering communication and understanding.

In his address, DSA President Shri Dorjee Sherpa Pinasa conveyed gratitude to the dignitaries, members, and supporters for their unwavering support. He reiterated the association's dedication to preserving the Sherpa community's cultural heritage and providing a space for literary expression. Highlighting the features of the newly launched website, Shri Dorjee Sherpa Pinasa emphasized its role as a central hub for information on Denzong Sherpa Association's activities, events, and community news. The Sherpa Language Literary E-Magazine, another integral component of the launch, is envisioned to showcase the literary prowess of the Sherpa community, offering a platform for young writers to share their creative works.

As part of the ceremony, Denzong Sherpa Association took the opportunity to felicitate the newly elected Executive Committee members of the Global Sherpa Association. This gesture reinforced the spirit of collaboration and unity among Sherpa organizations, accompanied by expressions of gratitude to the outgoing General Secretary and Treasurer of the Global Sherpa Association.
